Lineatube bike inner tubes

Change a puncture in minutes without removing the wheel. Lineatube open-ended inner tubes for e-bikes, MTB, road and more. Sizes 12"–29", fit guide and FAQ.

Lineatube is an open-ended inner tube that lets you replace a punctured tube quickly without removing the wheel. Ideal for e-bikes, hybrids, MTB, road bikes, folding bikes and BMX—especially when the bike is heavy or awkward to turn upside down.

What is Lineatube?

Lineatube is an open-ended inner tube that can be fitted inside the tyre by removing only one side of the tyre from the rim. You insert the valve through the rim hole first, then wrap the tube around the rim until it overlaps. The tube is hermetically sealed at both ends for reliable performance.

Once installed, a Lineatube performs like any other inner tube and can stay in place for as long as a standard tube—no need to swap it for a classic tube when you get home.

Why use Lineatube?

Lineatube is designed to make puncture repairs faster and easier. Fitting a standard inner tube usually means removing the wheel, then the tyre, then replacing the tube—often 15 minutes or more. With Lineatube, you only need to open one side of the tyre, remove or cut the old tube, install the Lineatube (overlapping the ends), reseat the tyre and inflate. The process can take around 5 minutes, saving time on the road or in the workshop.

If your bike is heavy or awkward to remove the wheel—common with e-bikes, cargo bikes or bikes with hub gears—Lineatube is a practical solution. Mechanics and bike rental businesses also benefit from quicker puncture repairs.

Sizes and compatibility

Lineatube is available in several sizes to cover wheels from 12" to 29" and tyre widths from about 1.10" to 3.00". One Lineatube size can often cover several wheel sizes, so on a family ride you may need to carry only one spare tube for different bikes.

Frequently asked questions

Does the overlap create a bump or dent in the tyre?

In our tests—including on Schwalbe Marathon tyres—we felt no bumps or dents and noticed no deformation of the tyre. The overlap is designed to sit flush.

How do I replace my tube with a Lineatube?

Open one side of the tyre (leave the other bead on the rim). Remove or cut the old tube. Insert the Lineatube valve through the rim hole, wrap the tube around the rim until it overlaps, reseat the tyre bead, inflate and you're ready to ride.

How long can I leave a Lineatube in my tyre?

You can use a Lineatube like any other inner tube. It lasts as long as a standard tube and does not need to be replaced with a classic tube after your ride.
